This ordinary living...

My foot travels the length and sides of the bed in search for warmth from your skin...

Then a tear rolls from my left eye onto the pillow, a hot tear.

Though it freezes the moment it leaves the eye...forming icicles on my cheeks.

Cold and frigid I lay for hours awake or asleep then.

It isn't enough, this love, from me , somehow...

It doesn't melt you...

Should it though? I keep pondering over your heart, frozen?

I tuck under the comforter, my bitter frosty body from shame of rejection

This life dissolves slowly into the ordinary.
